Protocadherin-9 is a cadherin protein encoded by the PCDH9 gene in human. Protocadherin-9 belongs to the protocadherin subfamily, which is a membrane protein found at cell-cell boundaries. Protocadherin-9 mediates cell adhesion in neural tissues in the presence of calcium.
