Description

Anti-Claudin-8 (CLDN8) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues. Claudin-8 is a protein that is encoded by the CLDN8 gene in human. Claudin-8 belongs to the Claudin protein superfamily. Claudins are tetraspan proteins making the tight junction. Claudins have four transmembrane domains, two extracellular loops (ECLs: ECL1 and ECL2), amino- and carboxyl-terminal cytoplasmic domains, and a short cytoplasmic motif. Claudin-8 is important for the barrier function in the intestines and the kidneys.
