DLG1 (SAP97) Antibody
Description
Anti-DLG1 (SAP97) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues. Discs large homolog (DLG1), also known as synapse-associated protein 97 (SAP97), is encoded by the dlg1 gene in human. Mammalian DLG1 protein is homologous to Drosophila protein Dlg. DLG1 is a cytosolic scaffold protein consisting of three PDZ domains, an SH3 domain, a I3 domain and a MAGUK domain. Drosophila Dlg1 protein plays a vital role in establishing the apicobasal polarity. Mammalian DLG1 protein is expected to perform a similar function. In addition, mammalian DLG family proteins have been shown to regulate adherens junction assembly, signal transduction, cell proliferation, synaptogenesis and lymphocyte activation.
