Description

Anti-ILDR1 (Angulin-2) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues. ILDR1, which stands for immunoglobulin [Ig]-like domain-containing receptor 1, also known as angulin-2, belongs to the angulin protein family, which makes the tricellular tight junction in epithelium or endothelium. ILDR1 is encoded by the ILDR1 gene in human. ILDR1 has a single transmembrane domain, an amino-terminal extracellular Ig-like domain, and a carboxyl-terminal cytoplasmic domain. ILDR1 is important to make a water impermeable pathway in the epithelium. Mutations in ILDR1 also cause a human inherited deafness disease known as DFNB42.
