Nephrocystin-5 (NPHP5 or IQCB1) Antibody
Description
Anti-Nephrocystin-5 (NPHP5 or IQCB1) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues. Nephrocystin-5 (NPHP5), also known as IQCB1 (IQ calmodulin-binding motif containing protein 1), is a component of the primary cilium. Nephrocystin-5 is encoded by the IQCB1 gene in human. Nephrocystin-5 can interact with multiple BBS proteins and may participate in the entry of the BBSome complex to the primary cilium. Mutations in Nephrocystin-5 cause renal-retinal Senior-Loken syndrome 5 (SLSN5) (OMIM 609254), which manifests as renal failure and retinitis pigmentosa.
