About the Target

Breast Cancer Resistance Protein (BCRP/ABCG2) is an ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter belonging to the G subfamily, encoded by the ABCG2 gene on chromosome 4q22. It is a half-transporter composed of a single nucleotide-binding domain (NBD) with conserved ATP-binding motifs (Walker A, Walker B, ABC signature) and a transmembrane domain (TMD) with six α-helices. Depending on the literature source, ABCG2 may also be discussed as BCRP/ABCG2 and CD338.
