About the Target

STAT6 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 6) is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors, expressed in various immune cells including T cells, B cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells. Structurally, STAT6 consists of coiled-coil, linker, SH2, and DNA-binding domains, with a unique histidine residue (H415) in its DNA-binding domain enabling recognition of specific DNA motifs. Depending on the literature source, STAT6 may also be discussed as Signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 and IL-4 Stat.
